Membership types

Association of Progressive Farmers


We created the Bulgarian Farmers Union with the aim of uniting the agricultural sector. In the past years, the opinion that agricultural policy has a constant need of synchronization with the new policies and and above all, for the establishment of the sector as a sustainable and highly efficient one , has been affirmed. That is why Bulgarian Farmers Union is the new and different approach that outlines the way of a new construction of the sector at national and European level. And to give the right direction for the development of agriculture in our country.


Individual membership


A member can be:
  • natural and/or legal person performing agricultural activities or the following activities.
  • carrying out agricultural activities or the following activities: Plant production; animal husbandry; food industry, processing and storage; retail and wholesale; tax licensing policy and control; forests, logging and processing; mushroom picking and truffles; fisheries and aquaculture; ownership, management and use of agricultural lands; cooperation and association; ecology and agroecology; organic production; other policies, directly and indirectly related to the interests of the members and the sector as a whole, including those registered as agricultural producers under Ordinance No. 3 of January 29, 1999 on creating and maintaining a register of agricultural producers.
  • They should accept the Statute and be willing to work to achieve the goals of the Union;

Условия за членство:

  1. Complete an application for membership - for an individual or a legal entity
  2. Complete an informed consent form
  3. Send us the signed application and declaration by email - contact@farmunion.bg or contact our representative by phone +359 (0) 899 853 953 to specify the application.

 

Collective membership


A member can be any legal entity registered under:
  • The Law on non-profit legal entities, the Law on Cooperatives, other specialized law, which shares the goals of the association and the means to achieve them, executes its statutes and regularly pays its membership fee;
They must meet the following requirements:
  • unite at least seven individuals and/or legal entities,
  • Carrying out agricultural activities or the following activities: crop production; animal husbandry; food industry, processing and storage; retail and wholesale; tax licensing policy and control; forests, logging and processing; mushroom picking and truffles; fisheries and aquaculture; ownership, management and use of agricultural lands; cooperation and association; ecology and agroecology; organic production; other policies, directly and indirectly related to the interests of the members and the sector as a whole, including those registered as agricultural producers under Ordinance No. 3 of January 29, 1999 on creating and maintaining a register of agricultural producers.
  • They should accept the statute and be willing to work to achieve the goals of the union;



Associate member

They can be natural or legal persons who can participate in the work of the union, benefiting from its structure and services. The associated members have an advisory voice in the work of the General Assembly, and their representatives cannot be elected to the composition of  the Union's bodies.


Honorary membership

Honorary members are elected prominent public figures from Bulgaria or other countries with a significant contribution to achieving the goals of the Union;
